Submission Requirements
To be considered, submit a link to a recording of your singing (Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube video, MP3, WAV, etc.). If we like what we hear, you may be selected to sing the song. If chosen, you must follow all submission requirements when recording your version of Fool’s Gold.
Failure to meet these requirements will result in losing your spot as the singer. Selected vocalists will receive the lyrics and instrumentation— once selected all you need to do is record your vocals and ensure they meet the submission guidelines.
To be considered, all submissions of Fool’s Gold must meet the following criteria:
Studio-Quality Recording – Vocals must be recorded in a professional studio or a high-quality home studio to ensure the best sound.
Dry Vocals – All vocals must be raw and unprocessed, with no EQ, compression, reverb, or effects applied.
Properly Labeled Stems – Each vocal stem must be included in a single ZIP file or folder and clearly labeled for organization. Example labels:
Lead Verse
Lead Chorus
Ad-Libs
Doubles
Full-Length Stems – Each vocal stem must be the exact length of the full song, even if certain sections contain silence. This ensures proper timing and alignment during mixing.
Submissions that do not meet these requirements may not be considered.
